Naturally Raised Beef
We take great pride in the way our beef is raised. Cows were meant to be outdoors and eat grass. We do our best to accomodate that. While Michigan winters limit pasture availability, we supplement with local hay until the grass pushes it's way out of the snow in spring. Family and friends have told us they prefer a little flavorful finish, so we add a little grain to their diet for the last few months. These cows are cared for the old fashioned way! Just a tractor to transport the hay and a bucket to deliver the grain. Trust that these cows are treated with utmost care to ensure our beef is 100% natural!
We try to have beef ready for harvest 3-4 times a year, so no matter when you need it, it won't be a long wait. Just a trip or two back to the supermarket is all it takes, for our customers to call back remembering how much better home grown tastes. As holders of a MI food license, we can sell you anthing from a whole cow to a steak. If you order a half or quarter, it will be cut to your specific directions. An eighth or less and it comes with standard JNF cutting directions.
We proudly use Byron Center Meats as our finish processor!
